Major Event in Oprah's career

Oprah has been working as a TV presenter in USA since many years ago. She has faced with her public life. She has been questioning about her weight, racism, intrusive questions about her sexuality, just to name a few, but she has never let it get in the way of her ambition and drive.

When you look at her childhood, her personal triumphs are cast in an even more remarkable light. When she was child, Oprah was reportedly a victim of sexual abuse and was repeatedly molested by her cousin, an uncle, and a family friend. Because of her sexual abuse, she became pregnant and gave birth to a child at age 14, who passed away just two weeks later.

Besides these traumatic situations,  Oprah has persevered, She continued studying,  finished high school as an honors student, earned a full scholarship to college, and worked her way up through the ranks of television, from a local network anchor in Nashville to an international superstar and creator of her OWN network (we couldn’t help ourselves).

Elderly Population in Costa Rica

Elderly Population in Costa Rica
Dear Editor:

I have been trying to contact to you since 4 weeks ago, but, unfortunately you have not answer my calls, emails or phone messages. That is why I decided to pay an add on your own newspaper asking you responses about your last news about ”The good quality of elderly population in Costa Rica” that you published one month ago.

Relate to this reportage I have to confess you that I feel so disappointed with your professional development. It is not possible that you are lying to the all your readers. The elderly population in Costa Rica according to the last Nation Inform is increasing and it is not decreasing as you said. Currently, there are some 330.000 elderly or senior citizens in the country, but it is estimated that by 2025 there will one million people over the age of 65. It means that our government will not be ready to face this situation and nowadays our hospitals are not working on new programs on senior citizens care.

The unique Hospital in charge of the attention for this population is the Geriatric and Gerontology Raul Blanco Cervantes Hospital located in San Jose. This Medical Center is obsolete and it is not giving the whole attention this population need. My question is what will happen in 10 years when the elderly population is going to rich the higher level of the Costa Rica history? Are our public and health system ready? Obviously it is not!! I firmly ask you to publish again the news but, in this occasion you must say the true. This is the time to wake up our population to work together in building future solutions, remember that we will probably be part of that statistics on 2025 and all that we are doing now will be for ourselves. Please no more lies and no more false news.

News: Violence in Costa Rica

Violence in Costa Rica

Costa Rica is not anymore the happiest country around the world!! It has changed. The last social events that have recently happened have changed the way Ticos and others out of Costa Rica see our beautiful peace of land!! Murders, violence, crimes, rounds, accidents where licuor is the cause, are the news of every single day.

We have seen bad news since many time ago. No good news for us have been showing at news channels, only bad ones. We have already become witnesses of our misfortune, but, we have not react yet!! What are we waiting for? Maybe this is the question that everybody ask him/herself. No answers are in the air, no answers are into a simple book. We have lost our living way.

If everything goes like now, my lovely Costa Rica will be the worst country to live in Latin America. We have always lived into a big bubble of glass, but, it is time to wake up!!
